Finding the right display for your next event

There are plenty of backdrop displays out there, but which one is right for you?

For budgets and stand spaces big or small, there’s a backdrop out there that’s perfect for your stand.

Check out our guide below and learn how to pick the best display for your next event.

Choose smaller displays for smaller spaces

  • Budget ranges from £42 to £70.
Roller banners for small stand spaces
With an incredibly small footprint, pull up banners are the ideal choice for displaying your promotional messages in smaller stand spaces.

As the name suggests, a pull up banner features a retractable graphic system that allows the graphic to be neatly stored into the base unit. Everything fits in the carry bag for easy transportation.

Banners make great accompanying displays for counters and literature stands - usually seen in conferences and retail areas.

Time to go wide with more space

  • Prices starting from £115 to £210.
Wide banners for larger stand spaces
If you’ve got a slightly bigger floor plan to play with, at least two metres wide, then large banners will fit perfectly. Alternatively, you can choose two smaller banners which would provide more flexibility to your display layout.

A wide pull up banner can range from one up to three metres wide, providing plenty of graphic area for a step and repeat logo backwall. Couple with a portable counter or display table for an awesome looking display layout.

As well using as logo backwalls at press events, wide banners are also popular for displaying custom photographs mixed with promotional messages.

Pop up stands suit large floor plans

  • Smaller stands start from £185 up to £495 for the largest.
Pop up stands
For large stand spaces, pop up stands provide impressively sized backwalls for a just as impressive impact. Ideally suited for stand spaces starting from three metres wide at conferences, exhibitions and promotional points of interest in retail areas.

Sizes range from 3x1 up to 3x5 in curved or straight frame shapes. Don’t mistake this as a metre reference. This refers to the number of grids the frame consists of. For example, a 3x3 pop up stand is three grids wide by three grids high.

Pop up stands may be large but they’re still incredibly portable. With a wheeled case, the frame, graphics and lights all neatly fit inside to make storage and transportation easy and stress free. This also doubles up as a counter - the branded graphic wrap and counter top completes the case to counter transformation.

Larger displays with smaller footprints

  • Fabric displays start from £155+.
Fabric display stands
Fabric displays are super lightweight. The fabric graphic weighs a fraction of a PVC panel and takes less than five minutes to assemble. Fabric display stands are suitable for display in a range of locations with at least two metres of space for the smaller sizes:

  • Conferences
  • Retail areas
  • Exhibitions
  • Large photography areas

Larger stands can reach up to three metres wide, so we recommend at least five metres minimum of space is available.

The fabric graphic creates a stunning seamless backwall – the graphic simply slots over the frame and zips closed to create tension.

Printed using a dye-sublimation method, meaning the ink is pressed into the fabric material itself. Unlike many other displays, you can cool wash your graphics to keep them looking vibrant and new for longer.

Just like pop up stands, the frame can fit into the wheeled case and also comes with lights in the kit deal to help illuminate your stand.

Fill out your stand with modular or linking displays

  • Full stand packages from £742
Modular and linking pop up display stands
Linking pop up stands and modular exhibition stands are two great ways to fully fill out your stand space ranging from three metres onwards.

Linking pop up stands are reconfigurable, making a dynamic display that can adapt to the space you are working in.

Exhibiting at a smaller event later in the year? That's no problem for a linked pop up system. As linked pop ups consist of two or more frames that are linked together with a linking graphic panel, these can just be split out into smaller stands when needed.

For a more bespoke and permanent display, modular exhibition systems create stunning backwalls in a variety of shapes and sizes to fit your stand space.

Modular exhibition stands feature push fit fabric graphics for easy assembly. Again, modular stands come with transit cases for secure transportation.

Hired a shell scheme space?

Shell scheme graphics for shell scheme spaces
If you’ve hired a shell scheme space for your next exhibition or event – shell scheme graphics are specifically designed to cover the walls in your shell scheme space with rollable PVC or foam board graphics.

As well as being a cost-effective way of branding your exhibition stand, shell scheme graphics also save a lot of room as no floor space is being used for your displays. This allows for other branded displays such as banners or printed literature to be on show within the shell scheme space.

Most exhibition organisers provide you with a walling system around your exhibition stand, built using aluminium posts and panels.

They will provide you with specifications for graphics, how they should be attached to the walls and how many panels make up your stand.

As standard, we print on graphics 2400mm high by 1000mm wide, but we can print on custom sizes to match the exact specifications of your shell scheme walling.
