Charity competition winner 2016

We’re really pleased to announce that the winner of our charity competition 2016 is… Hope for Tomorrow! They walk away with £300 worth of displays to help them promote their charity.

the winner is...

Hope for Tomorrow

Hope for Tomorrow is a national cancer charity dedicated to bringing cancer treatment closer to patients’ homes. Their Mobile Chemotherapy Units effectively reduce the long distances of travel and waiting times for treatment that patients often endure, and also help them to avoid the stresses and strains of busy Oncology Centres.

Their competition entry, originally posted on their Facebook page, explains what it means to win the competition:

“To win the Marler Haley competition, would be incredibly beneficial for Hope for Tomorrow.

“Hope for Tomorrow have expanded rapidly over the last few years and through this we have relocated offices to accommodate staff growth. We are now at a stage of re branding our charity, meaning that there are number of different areas that will need updating.

“One of the more challenging sides of this development will be raising the unrestricted funds for new material, such as display boards, exhibition kits etc. The display boards we have at present are hugely out of date i.e. the old photos, incorrect address details and poor graphics; it doesn’t represent where we are as a charity.

“Whether we are hosting events or out in the community fundraising, it is so important that we are delivering the correct information wherever we are and whoever we are talking to.

Winning the competition would mean we can rebrand our charity tools all at the same time, giving us consistency throughout therefore being able to clearly spread the word of Hope for Tomorrow!”

Talking about how they feel to have won Marler Haley’s charity competition, Hannah Downey, Communications Manager at Hope for Tomorrow had this to say:

“We are all so thrilled here at Hope for Tomorrow.

“Winning the Marler Haley Competition will help us so much with our re brand. With this promotional material, we can make sure that we are delivering the message of our charity clearly to everybody, to enable us to keep the wheels turning and bring cancer care closer to patients’ homes.”

Thank you

From Hope for Tomorrow and the team here at Marler Haley, we’d like to thank everybody who voted in this year’s competition. Every vote counted and will make a big difference to Hope for Tomorrow.

If at first you don’t succeed…

Hope for Tomorrow reached our final for the first time last year, but were piqued to the post by Animal Rescue Cumbria for first place. Undeterred, they returned this year, entering our competition again. They luckily reached our final and were given a second chance of success.

With an army of voters who came out in force, they managed to claim the title of Marler Haley annual charity competition winner 2016 and the £300 display prize.

With just 4 votes between first and second place it really was a close call so every vote really did count!

Of course, we’d also like to give a special thank you to the Army Families Federation and to Us in a bus for reaching the final. With only 4 votes in it between first and second place they put up a great fight for victory and shows just how close they came!
