There’s no doubt that face-to-face marketing is the original social media. Getting up close and personal with your prospective customers is what they’re all about. It can seem daunting to merge the classic form of F2F marketing with a digital element, but they do work very well together and it can help to increase your ROI. Below are three common problems that are faced by exhibitors, along with how these can be resolved by integrating digital elements on stand.

 1. Product / service breadth

A common issue for exhibitors is being able to show the range of products or services that you provide. Without lugging every single item, or heavy catalogues to distribute, it can be hard to portray the breadth of what you can do.

By having a tablet to hand, you could simply show them exactly what they’re looking for on your website, or allow them to browse on their own. They could even make their purchase there and then!

2. Building Trust

Not everybody visiting you at an exhibition is going to automatically recognise your brand and know that you’re a reputable company. Use a tablet to load a portfolio, or pre-shot demonstrations of your products or services. Providing moving imagery will give your stand an extra dimension and reinforce trust messages about your brand to show that you know what you’re talking about.

3. The dreaded data input

There are many skills needed to transfer paper lead generation forms to electronic data. From cunning detective skills and team debates over whether a mysterious symbol in an email address is an o or a 0, to typing at 90 words a minute to enter the data in time, it’s not always an easy process.

Using a tablet can help to alleviate this stress and mean that you can use the data sooner. There are many apps available to download that can be used as lead generation forms to make data input at the event a doddle. When you get back to the office, simply upload your data and you’ll be ready to start your post-show campaign.

One important thing to consider, if you have decided that a tablet is the right solution for you, is to make sure you use some form of enclosure that can lock your iPad in place. They are available as freestanding or mountable iPad Stands to sit wherever you need them and can even come in different colours. This also reduces the chance of it being accidently damaged and of it being stolen.
