Vote for your Favourite Charity, Giving Them the Chance to Win £300 of Marler Haley Products

We have had a great response to our competition, giving charities the chance to win £300 of Marler Haley products. All they had to do was tell us what they wanted and why.

The aim was to select 2 charities to go to the public vote. Selecting only 2 charities was too difficult so we have decided to go for 3 and put the pressure on everyone else.

Here are the finalists:

The Centre for Studies on Inclusive Education (CSIE) is an independent centre, set up in 1982, actively supporting inclusive education as a human right of every child. Their work is driven by a commitment to overcome barriers to learning and participation for all children and young people. Their activities include lobbying and campaigning, research, training, consultancy and dissemination of information.

CSIE is looking to replace their much-loved and seriously old display stand. They have their eye on a multi-screen display board, an eco banner-stand and a literature stand . They know the total package is outside of their budget and will be asking their supporters to help them to reach the remaining target.

Camp Nibble

Camp Nibble is a rabbit and rodent rescue charity run by Hannah and Stephen from their own home, and the homes of trusted fosterers. They are passionate about animal welfare in general. However, rabbit rescue has become the focus of Camp Nibble as a charity. This is simply because in the UK rabbits have become the most neglected and poorly looked after pet and are in desperate need of rescue support. Along side helping rabbits they also try and help rodents, turtles, tortoises and some bird species wherever possible.

They are undergoing a programme of education to raise awareness of rabbits and modernise the currently very out-dated standards that many people deem acceptable in rabbit care. Which is hoped will reduce the incidences of suffering/neglect and abandonment of pet rabbits.

If they we were one of the lucky charities selected they would like to buy a table top kit to help promote their rabbit welfare messages and display their literature:

CAN – Touching lives and changing futures

CAN’s vision is to help people to reach their true potential and achieving their ambitions. Touching lives and changing futures by inspiring people to make positive choices. In order to achieve this they work to the following targets.

a) Improve the health and well being of individuals, families and communities by reducing the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and homelessness

b) Prevent people developing substance use and becoming homeless

c) Develop partnerships that support people in reaching their outcomes

Their service delivery teams often attend exhibitions and events, promoting the work of CAN in support of people affected by drugs, alcohol and homelessness. Unfortunately they do not have the display equipment required to promote the charity effectively as a result they would like an Econoscreen display board

Voting has now closed.
Why not take a look at the other charities that entered the competition. Don’t forget that in these tough times everyone would benefit from a little extra support, so why not donate to one of these great causes.
