LAURA HART, Junior Administrator for Marler Haley based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, has recently passed her Level 3 Business and Administration NVQ ahead of predicted timescales through investment from the Portable Display firm's personal development programme.
With 60 Years in the Exhibition industry, Marler Haley sell a range of portable display equipment from Banner stands to Multiscreen Panel systems. Their investment in staff has always been top priority ensuring that their people give excellent customer service.
Local to Wellingborough, Laura completed 11 GCSE's at Manor School and Sports College in Raunds, Northamptonshire; she then furthered her education at Northampton College, Booth Lane by completing a BTEC National Diploma in Public Services. On leaving further education Laura signed up with training and recruitment provider, Starting Off based in Kettering. Training Coordinator Jacquie Grant introduced Laura to Marler Haley and subsequently enrolled her on an apprenticeship as their Junior Administrator in September 2009 whilst allowing Laura to complete her Level 2 NVQ in Business and Administration.
Through support from Marler Haley's team and commitment to her development, Laura completed Level 2 in just 4 months, instead of the expected 6. Feeling inspired, Laura then started Level 3 in February 2010 and will formally complete in August 2010, 3 months ahead of the expected finish date. Laura has this week completed her final TC (technical certificate) exam with flying colours and the hand in of her final course work will see Laura complete the assessment in August.
On her course, Laura said, "Having Marler Haley support me through my NVQ has enabled my personal development and allowed me to gain qualifications whilst I work, I have enjoyed achieving my full potential with a great team"
Heather Findon, Marler Haley's Account Manager said, "Laura is a valued member of the team and we are very proud of her development through understanding and improved organisation. The apprenticeship scheme has been a brilliant investment for Marler Haley and we look forward to Laura being a continued asset to us".
Marler Haley has since been nominated for the National Apprentice Employer of the Year alongside sister company Nimlok.
