Apprenticeship award nomination for Northamptonshire display firm Marler Haley

 

Marler Haley a leading portable display equipment provider (part of the P3 Group) has been nominated for The Inspiring Achievement Employer Awards in the Apprentice Award category by Northampton and Kettering based recruitment and training company, Starting Off.

The nomination follows the successful completion of NVQ level 2 in Business and Administration by Marler Haley's Junior Administrator Laura Hart. Marler Haley and The P3 Group have five members of staff on apprenticeship programmes at the present time - three with Starting Off working on NVQ level 2 and level 3 business & administration qualifications, whilst two other apprenticeships are also being studied - one in print finishing with Leicester college and another in welding & fabrication at Northampton college.

The P3 Group are committed to working with and developing young people under The National Apprenticeship Scheme and Marler Haley's sales director Andrew Pocock was delighted to hear that Marler Haley have been nominated for The Apprentice Award, which recognises businesses that have consistently supported the employment and development of young people.

The Inspiring Achievement Employer Awards are given to a select number of employers who have gone above and beyond what is required of them. Nominated by the schools and training companies themselves. These prestigious awards acknowledge the support and dedication of employers in supporting the workforce of tomorrow.

The awards will be held in Wellingborough's Castle Theatre on 3rd November 2010, there will be a number of key speakers from business, education and local authorities, each of whom are committed to the importance of preparing young people for life in the working world. The winner of each category will then go on to receive their individual award in recognition of their delivery of high quality support to the education for young people.
